Mona Dehghan

Mona started out at KALX, Berkeley where she was Music Director and an on-air DJ. She fell in love with radio so much she decided to get her Masters in the subject in London. Goldsmiths College, University of London provided a fantastic program where she received her degree and expanded her radio skills which enabled her to do production work at Radio Wimbledon, Virgin Radio, BBC London, and BBC 6 Music.

After her time overseas, she returned to KALX to take a fulltime position as Operations Manager for the station. During her year back in Berkeley she coordinated the 45th anniversary fundraiser and celebration and produced a double 7" for the festivities. She then was offered a position at Sub Pop Records in Seattle doing college / non commercial radio promotions. From Seattle, she was relocated to Brooklyn, NY by Domino Records where she took the job of radio promotions as well as Project Manager. This job later morphed into Communications Manager. From this role she learned the inner workings of publicity and now holds a position as Senior Publicist at Tell All Your Friends PR. Some of her current clients include Daughn Gibson, Trust, and Genesis P Orridge.

On the side, Mona also has her own record label called Mon Amie Records and DJs events, bars, and weddings as part of a collective called Sugartown Industries.
